St. Jude Parish Finances and Mission
July 2010-June 2011
The summary of revenue and expenses on the other side of this page is
incomplete without a recounting the non-financial results for the Parish
both within and outside our faith community. These are summarized
under the three pillars of our Parish Mission: Liturgy & Worship,
Sharing and Serving, and Faith Formation for the 1674
registered households of our parish.
Liturgy & Worship
Nourished by the Eucharist and the example of Jesus we, St. Jude Parish,
embrace the world and future generations with open arms and generous
hearts.

Over 1,297 individuals on average attended Eucharist each week.
Three choirs, dozens of cantors and accompanists provided wonderful
music to enhance our worship. In total, approximately 400 people
serve in 10 liturgical ministries.

58 Baptisms, 4 Professions of Faith, 62 First Eucharists, 43
Confirmations, 900 Sacraments of Reconciliation, 14 Marriages, over 640
Annointings, and 15 Funerals.
Sharing and Serving
Strengthened by our Catholic faith and community we strive to welcome,
serve, and be compassionate to all our brothers and sisters.

We welcomed 91 newly registered households into the parish.
·
Thru Parish Tithing we provided year 5 of a 5 year parish pledge
to help Blessed Teresa of Calcutta parish, continued our support
to our Sister Parish in Tijuana, continued our monthly support to
our parish St. Vincent de Paul in their work with the poor in our
own Redmond community, supported the Criminal Justice/Jail Ministry
of the diocese, and assisted poor parishes in our Archdiocese
through our Home Missions contribution.

We hosted 100 homeless individuals of Tent City 4 for the
third time in the past 6 years.
·
We also supported numerous people in need across the Archdiocese of
Seattle and our world through collections for Missions,
Catholic Relief Services, Build Hope, and Catholic
Community Services.
Faith
Formation
Guided by the Holy Spirit and our rich tradition, we are inspired to
learning, growing, and witnessing God’s boundless love.

Over 324 children learned about their faith in weekly classes,
and 62 children received First Eucharist with support from
parents and catechists.
·
Over 94 teens
participated in Sunday Teen gatherings, outings,
spirituality groups, a mission trip, retreats, and service projects.
·
38 teens were Confirmed
with the help of parents, adult leaders and organizers; 20 young
adults gathered for formation opportunities sponsored by the parish.
·
Over 200 adults
participated in Adult Education/Formation classes and
workshops while 12 adults/children came into the Church through
the Rite of Christian Initiation.
