ST. JUDE WORSHIP AND SPIRITUAL LIFE

Art and Environment

This committee is attentive to the entire liturgical environment for the worship celebrations in the parish.  The environment serves the liturgy, and art seeks to foster an awareness of the sacred within the community.  One element involves the design and placement of banners and floral art for the various liturgical seasons throughout the year.  The committee is open to artists, organizers, and creative thinkers.  Adults and youth are invited to participate.  Contact Amy Cast, 861-7717.

Altar Servers

Young people, grades 5 and up, are invited to participate in a preparation to be altar servers during liturgy.  Contact Corrine Fiske, 882-8554.

Ministers of Hospitality

Ushers help create an atmosphere of welcome during the liturgy.  Adults and youth are invited to participate in this ministry of hospitality.  Please Contact the Parish Office.

Hospitality is provided after Sunday morning liturgies with doughnuts and beverages in the parish hall. Individuals, families, small groups and parish organizations are encouraged to volunteer. Contact Pat Smith, 868-6302.

Eucharistic Ministers

These ministers are entrusted with the service of giving Eucharist to the assembly at liturgy.  Contact Cathy Mulligan, 881-2948.

Sacristans

The ministry of Sacristan involves the set-up and immediate preparations before and after the Eucharistic liturgy.  Arrival at least 30 minutes before the beginning of the liturgy and staying until about 15 minutes afterwards is needed.  Anyone interested serving in this vital and "hidden" liturgical ministry, please contact Sr. Betty Schumacher, 883-7685, ext. 118.

Lectors
