Engage & Connect - Ministries/Volunteering

 “Engage & Connect”

St. Jude … A Great Parish Family!

Ministries Guide 2012

 From our Pastor, Fr. Dave

Saint Jude parish makes this renewed call for your active and engaged presence here and witness to our community and world.  Because God blesses us in so many ways – including: life, love, forgiveness, faith, community, and salvation – we cannot help but to make a generous and thankful response with our time, our talent and our treasure.

We, therefore, commit to being nurtured weekly in community celebration of God’s Word and Eucharist.

We engage in at least one ministry within the parish and at least one form of service beyond the parish.

We make a financial commitment so that our parish may pass on faith, celebrate liturgy, and meet some of the many needs presented to us.  As we become an increased blessing to others, we find our lives ever more blessed and meaningful.

Please use this November time and the information in this booklet to assist you in reflecting on and making a firm commitment of Time, Talent, and Treasure for the coming 2011 year.  I ask that you respond from your heart to “Engage and Connect” for your own good and that of our entire St. Jude Parish Family.

       Time

Fostering Stewardship as a way of life

Our St Jude Parish Family invites YOU to “Engage and Connect” – a program for building a stronger Jude community and deepening our spirituality by having EVERYONE actively involved at St Jude.

Engage and Connect calls you to…

·         Regularly attend church

·         Actively participate in at LEAST ONE St Jude ministry

o        Opportunity to get to know fellow parishioners and build lasting friendships in a small group setting

o        Deepen spirituality by working, studying and praying together

o        Share the load by assisting Fr Dave and Staff with the spiritual development, operation and administration of St Jude

o        Serve the community through outreach to the community

·         Actively contribute to the financial well-being of St Jude

Our expectation and goal is to get 100% of registered St. Jude families to return a commitment by 11/28/11. If a card is not returned, follow-ups by phone and letter will be conducted by parish leadership volunteers during  early December and beyond.
