Update On Teen Ministries at St.Jude

Rick Casolary gave an overview of the Teen Ministries activities and membership at St. Jude.  There are approximately 200 teen participating.  Grades 7-10 have about 135, grades 9-12 Spirituality Group has about 12; - grades 11&12 candidates for confirmation number approximately 50; and there is a Teen Leadership Group offered for grades 11 & 12. Summer Missions are offered to teens grades 7-12. These ministries have sent a group to our sister parish in Mexico for the past seven years, however, because of the negative situation in that country of late, they will not be going this year.  Rick replied to John’s request for perhaps having some teens assisting with lectors at the 5:30 mass positively.  Any teenager is welcome to attend the teen ministries. It appears we have a vibrant and contributing teen ministry at St. Jude.

Fr. David:             Fr. David contacted Gary Smith and since he was not available to come to our meeting this evening, Father will try to perhaps meet with Gary and his wife, Pat, at their home and give them the gift from the parish – members signed a card to accompany the gift.
