FAMILY FAITH FORMATION

Welcome to Family Faith Formation!

We are confident that you will find our programs educational and meaningful. Our innovative programs offer youth and their families a balanced approach to learn about their faith and an opportunity to live as active, committed members of the Catholic Church.

Each session, our youth will be invited to:

• Grow in Knowledge through an engaging exploration of Sacred Scripture, Catholic Tradition, and the liturgical year.

• Connect Faith with Daily Life by reflecting on their experiences in light of the Gospel and applying Catholic teachings to everyday situations, deepening their relationship with Jesus Christ.

• Practice Discipleship by recognizing their God-given gifts and talents and seeking meaningful ways to serve Christ in their homes, schools, parish, and community.

OVERVIEW OF OUR PROGRAMS

FAMILY FAITH FORMATION (GRADES K-6)

Come join families of the parish as we learn together and teach our children the Catholic faith. The vision for Family Faith Formation is to build up strong Catholic families in which children learn the joys of following Jesus Christ and the truths of the Catholic faith through the witness of their parents. Because parents have the primary responsibility for educating their children in the faith, all parents are asked to volunteer in some capacity.

FIRST RECONCILIATION/FIRST EUCHARIST

First Reconciliation/Eucharist is contained within Family Faith Formation. Please use the same form to register. We have two classes:

Grade 2-3 First Reconciliation/First Eucharist

Grade 4 to 6 First Reconciliation/First Eucharist

Class begins September 15th and will meet from 5:30-7PM each Tuesday in Parish Hall. An essential parent orientation meeting is included, date and time will be communicated once parents have registered their children.

CONFIRMATION (GRADES 7 AND ABOVE)

Any youth in grade 7 or above is invited and encouraged to join formation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. There is an orientation on September 24 at 7:00 PM. This is for both Parents and Confirmation students with Fr. Johnson. Classes will meet every other Sundays or Mondays 6:30 - 8:00PM. Confirmation students are also invited to our Youth Ministry program without cost.

YOUTH/TEEN MINISTRY (GRADES 7-12)

We are fallen people living in a fallen and broken world. We each have a God-sized hole inside of our hearts. Too often we try to fill that hole with worldly things. And while these things may bring us temporary joy, they can never truly satisfy us. We will always long for something more until we allow God to fill that God-sized hole. Teen Ministry group is designed to shape the spiritual growth and emotional resilience of our young people through lively discussions, videos and activities. The teens are encouraged to live the Gospel message of Jesus Christ and embody the values of Faith, Hope, and Love. Through participation, teens are able to deepen both their personal spirituality as well as their friendships with their peers. We meet 2-3 times a month on Sunday evenings 6:30 – 8:00 PM in the parish hall. Dinner and desserts are provided. All teens grades 7-12 are invited to participate.

ALL FAMILY FAITH FORMATION CLASSES USE THE SAME FORM:

  • Faith Formation classes (Grades K-6)
  • First Reconciliation/First Eucharist Preparation (Grades 2 - 3)
  • First Reconciliation/First Communion Preparation (Grade 4 and above)
  • Confirmation Preparation (Grades 7 and above)
